The Best Raspberry Honey Butter

One of the tastiest Utah traditions is Raspberry Honey Butter smothered on a hot scone (fry bread).


Pioneer day is usually when I bring this recipe out - it seems nostalgic somehow - diving into my Utah pioneer roots.


Of course, you can make your scones any way you like - but I like to make it easy and use Rhodes Frozen Dinner Rolls. Defrost them with the speed method and whip up the raspberry honey butter while they rise.

Flatten and stretch your dough into an oval or circle shape and fry your in oil that is about 350 degrees for about 1-2 minutes each side. I found that they cooked more evenly when we split the rolls in half.


Raspberry Honey Butter


1/2 cup butter, softened

1-2 TBL honey

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1-2 TBL raspberry jam (I prefer seedless and found mine on Amazon here)


With a hand mixer, whip all ingredients until light and smooth


Enjoy on biscuits, scones, or toast!
