Simple Decorations for the 4th of July

I absolutely LOVE holidays (I know - that's why you're here too)!
I especially love simple, affordable, and easy decorations that can be used for other holidays too (gotta love more bang for my buck)!
Today I'm sharing decorations I have and use in my home to spruce up my space for the red, white, and blue! You can certainly find many of these items at your local craft store but for your convenience I have also included shopping links below.
Miniature flags
Think floral arrangements and bookcases. Laying down flat or standing tall. Mini flags are such an easy (and affordable) way to add a pop of patriotism.
White Hydrangeas
Hydrangeas are the perfect summer flower. If you can grow them yourself then use freshly cut stems. I personally do not have a green thumb - so artificial stems suit me fine. I have a few basic green floral arrangements throughout my house that I've added white hydrangea puffs and mini flags to - if you want to keep it simple - stick with HYDRANGEAS AND MINI FLAGS and you're good to go.
Throw Pillows
If you want a little more color, I highly recommend adding throw pillows. Throw pillows are ALL the rage these days. In truth, I really hate spending money on pillows - plus I have waaaay too many. I like to invest in a good basic pillow that I know works with my space and then change the cover. Pillow covers are much less expensive as the trends change and easier on storage space. Amazon is an amazing place to go for pillow covers! Add in a matching throw blanket (I'm a sucker for a cozy throw #alwayscold) and your space has been transformed!
Candy!
Candy is such an easy way to decorate for ANY holiday! Just be sure it's something your kids won't sneak and have emptied in 10 minutes. For the 4th of July I love red, white and blue M&M's and Taffy because they are nostalgic to me, but I've been finding it very difficult to find any themed candy this year (probably thanks to Covid). I found my M&M's at Target on a hidden end cap.
All of these ideas are SO SIMPLE, EASY AND AFFORDABLE!!
