Nutter Butter Ghosts

Halloween is just around the corner, and it's time to start planning those eerie, yet delicious, treats for your spooky soirée. If you're looking for a simple, fun, and downright adorable Halloween treat, you're in luck! In this blog post, I'll show you how simple it is to make Nutter Butter Ghosts. These sweet, peanut buttery snacks are perfect for Halloween parties, school events, or just a fun kitchen project with the kids. So, let's get started on crafting these ghostly delights that are sure to be a hit!

For the Ghosts:

  1. 1 package of Nutter Butter cookies

  2. 1 package white candy melts

  3. Candy eyeballs

For the Decorating:

  1. Wax paper or parchment paper

  2. A microwave-safe bowl

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Prepare Your Workspace: Clear a workspace and line it with wax paper or parchment paper. This will make cleanup easier and prevent the ghosts from sticking to your countertop.

  2. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval. Be careful not to overheat it, as it can scorch easily. If the chocolate is too thick, add a teaspoon of shortening to thin.

  3. Dip the Cookies: Take a Nutter Butter cookie and dip it into the melted white chocolate. You don't need to cover it completely, in fact I like the look of the nutter butter hanging out the bottom.

  4. Create the Ghost Shape: Place the chocolate-covered cookie on your lined workspace. While the chocolate is still wet, add two candy eyes. You can even add a chocolate chip mouth if you like.

  5. Let Them Set: Allow the Nutter Butter Ghosts to set on the wax paper until the chocolate hardens - with candy melts - it's quick!

  6. Serve and Enjoy: Once your Nutter Butter Ghosts have completely set, carefully peel them off the wax paper and arrange them on a festive Halloween platter. Serve them at your Halloween party, school event, or enjoy them as a spooky snack.

XOXO,

Kimberly Marie
