Hulk Approved: The Green Smoothie

If there's one superhero who understands the importance of staying healthy and strong, it's the incredible Hulk. Known for his strength and boundless energy, the Hulk would undoubtedly give his stamp of approval to this green smoothie.


I have tested a lot of green smoothie recipes and have never had one that didn't taste, well, green. I wanted delicious but also nutritious along with digestive benefits, so I began experimenting with different ingredients. The result was what we came to call "The Hulk Smoothie". Hulk approved (and perhaps 4 year old too).


You may look over the ingredient list and think - wow - that seems acidic. However, there is balance and the combination aides in strong digestion.


Our key ingredient is spinach. Of course we all understand that there are benefits to eating this leafy green which is why you're here - we all need more of its superpower.


The Power of Spinach:

Spinach, this leafy vegetable is a nutritional powerhouse that brings a multitude of health benefits to your green smoothies. High in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as iron, calcium, and fiber, spinach contributes to your overall well-being in various ways.

Why on earth would I put this in a smoothie??


I went through a phase where I would drink apple cider vinegar like a shot every morning because it balances the PH in your body. But I would gag every time. I hated it and began mixing it with other things just to get those magical health benefits from it. What are those magical benefits you ask?


The Magic of Apple Cider Vinegar:

This tangy addition can take your green smoothie to the next level. Although it may seem unconventional, this fermented vinegar derived from apples adds a unique flavor profile and offers several health benefits.

Bringing in the tropical flavor of pineapple and lime juice to mask the apple cider vinegar and make it taste delicious, banana for a creamy texture, greek yogurt for added protein. You can even add a little coconut flavor or a splash of pina-colada drink mixer for fun - even your pickiest eaters will love it! And when it's hulk approved - how could they not??

The BEST Green Smoothie Recipe Ever


Ingredients:

Serves 1


1/2 cup pineapple juice

1 TBL apple cider vinegar

Squeeze of lime to taste

Sweetener to taste (honey, agave, monk fruit, stevia, etc.)

1/2 Banana (can use frozen)

1/2 cup unsweetened Greek yogurt

Large handful of spinach

6-10 ice cubes


Blend and Enjoy!


*Can add a small amount of coconut extract, coconut drink flavor (like Torani), or pina-colada drink mixer for extra flavor.
