Football Muddy Buddies
IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON!
I made these for an after school snack and when my seven year old laid eyes upon it he said, "MOM! These are so good! How did you know these were my favorite snack?" and "Are these footballs?? What are they made of? They are SO GOOD!" -- He makes it fun.
This is the perfect game day treat for whatever game your watching - kids or pros - it's a hit! Put it on your weekend snack or treat list and you'll get all the ooohs and aaahhhs.
STEP BY STEP:
Make Muddy Buddy's as directed on Chex packaging and lay out to dry on wax paper.
Melt GREEN candy melts in a large bowl, add Chex mix and stir to coat then place in a bag with a small amount of powdered sugar and shake to coat lightly.
Add to wax paper to dry.
To Make footballs, melt chocolate candy melts and pipe onto wax paper in a football shape using a toothpick as needed to spread. Once football shape is dry, pipe melted white candy melts in a lace pattern on top of the football shape. You can certainly use a candy mold for this but I haven't found a mold that is small enough. You can also use almonds rather than candy melts but due to allergies to nuts, I prefer the candy melt way.
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and ENJOY!
XOXO,
Kimberly
