Easter Floral Arrangement

Updated: Mar 23, 2023

SPRING! Nothing speaks spring than a fresh flower arrangement. It makes the soul happy. Plus, flower arrangements are a great way to add a touch of beauty to any room or holiday party.

If you've seen some of my other flower arrangements in my home, you know I love to mix fresh stems with artificial ones. I believe it brings a lovely visual dynamic and it is also more affordable because you can reuse the artificial stems in other arrangements.

In this post, I'll show you how to create a stunning Easter flower arrangement using fresh and artificial flowers, as well as using the seasons favorite - Cadbury Mini Eggs - as filler. I'm sure you've seen versions of this floating around the internet with clear double vases - but I decided to make my own spin on it and I know you'll love the results.

Materials Needed for an Easter Floral Arrangement:

  • Fresh flower bouquet (I love grabbing one from Costco!)

  • Artificial stems (I love greenery! In this arrangement I have white floral stems)

  • Planter style rectangular box (a clear one would be stunning - you can purchase one HERE)

  • Cadbury eggs

Instructions:

  1. Start by placing cups inside your box or vase. Fill cups with water and floral food for fresh stems.

  2. Cut the fresh flowers to the desired length and remove any leaves that will be submerged in water.

  3. Arrange the fresh flowers in the water filled cups, making sure to create a balanced look. You can group flowers by color or mix different varieties for a more eclectic look.

  4. Add in the artificial stems, weaving them in and around the fresh flowers. These stems will help fill out the arrangement and add a touch of greenery.

  5. Adjust the flowers and stems as needed until you achieve the desired look.

  6. If using a box, fill the box with crumpled paper (this way you don't have to use as many Cadbury Eggs).

  7. Pour the Cadbury Eggs into the box or vase to fill.

Tips:

  • When selecting artificial stems, look for ones that are high quality and look realistic.

  • You can use any type of candy or filler in the bottom of the box, depending on the occasion or your personal preference. I found some cute mini foam eggs found HERE that are a beautiful addition instead of candy.

  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different flower and color combinations to create a unique arrangement.

  • Keep the arrangement out of direct sunlight and change the water regularly to prolong the life of the fresh flowers.

Here's a little video of my process!
