4 Easy St. Patrick's Day Kitchen Decor Ideas

Updated: Mar 4, 2023

I loved celebrating St. Patrick's Day growing up. My siblings and I would often find chairs tipped over and coins scattered throughout the house. One year my parents were even able to catch a sneaky leprechaun on VIDEO TAPE! Looking back, this leprechaun had very similar features to one of my older brothers.

Now, with children of my own, I love watching their delighted faces when they too find coins scattered around our house and the milk for their cereal colored green.

Decorating for holiday festivities always adds an element of fun but I have found there a few holidays that are lacking in the decor department. St. Patrick's day is one of those. This isn't a holiday that many people celebrate. I've noticed more and more people are jumping on the bandwagon and there's still room for more - so let's start the celebrations with 4 simple and easy St. Patrick's Day kitchen decorations (because that's where families spend most of their time together).

1 - ST PATRICKS DAY LUCKY CHARMS

This is the perfect centerpiece for an island or kitchen table. I love the simplicity of it. I have linked a few of the items I used for this centerpiece, but even grabbing a spare jar around your house and filling it with Lucky Charms cereal and placing it somewhere on your counter is the perfect, simple addition to your St. Patrick's Day decor. Bonus that it is a functional decoration too.

2 - ST. PATRICKS DAY KITCHEN TOWELS

Not all kitchen towels are created equal. Geometry House towels absolutely take the prize for the number one towel in my house. I have a few for every holiday and every day ones. They dry quickly and dry dishes perfectly - it's hard to describe just how perfect these towels are - but I promise once you try them - you will never go back to a regular towel. Geometry House has even offered my readers a discount of 15% when you use the code KIMBERLYMARIE. You can shop them HERE.

3 - ST. PATRICKS DAY NAPKINS & PLATES

So simple. All you have to do is find a way to display them. I've seen people put themed dishes in a basket on the counter where it's easy for little hands to grab and help. Or you can add them to an open kitchen shelf like I've done here. I've been toying with the idea of grabbing mug hooks for underneath the shelf to add my holiday mugs. Another way to add in decorations for the holiday - a countertop mug display - I have found some fun St. Patrick's Day mugs at the Target Dollar spot as well as Home Goods. I love My Minds Eye for holiday paper goods - you can shop their site HERE.

4 - ST. PATRICKS DAY CHALKBOARD ART

Easy and customizable. You don't have to be an artist either. Keep it simple and just write words. OR let your kids in on the action and have them draw a clover - purposeful art on the counter instead of piles of magnets and papers on the side of the fridge.

How will you be celebrating St. Patrick's Day?

XOXO,

Kimberly Marie
