Today at church I saw people whom I haven’t seen in a long time. New members of our church, long time members and families singing, making time for Him. I saw husbands putting arms around their wives, single members sitting with friends and neighbors, children smiling with excitement.

Perhaps all those things are a normal Sunday occurrence, but what I FELT today was that the Savior brings people together. His love was present. The joy and peace we can find in Him was tangible and it warmed my heart and lifted my soul.

May this Easter bring you hope and peace in Christ. 🌸💗🐇🌷

I’ve never seen IFA more busy. 😆 Those baby bunnies and chicks are so hard to resist!

Chicken feed, chicken bedding, (if you’re new to it you need a coop), heat lamps, treats, the time spent cleaning up after them, the time they DON’T lay.

I’ve had a lot of people reach out about our chickens asking all the things and this is what I tell them.

We love having chickens but you’ve got to weigh the pros and cons and the potential expenses before making the leap. Overall I’m not sure we save a ton of money.

This is it! The perfect spring floral arrangement.

My version of the viral Pinterest spring arrangement for Easter.

Grab yourself a bundle of tulips, carrots with their tops, and two vases that can fit inside each other with enough space to allow carrots to sit inside (doesn’t matter if they are square or round).

Fill both vases with water. Place carrots stem side up around the outer vase. The water inside ensures they don’t get soft and floppy. Let the greenery of the carrots fall outward as you arrange your florals in the inner vase. If desired you can integrate the greenery into the floral arrangement later.

What’s in your favorite mix?

Easy 4 ingredient Valentines Day Butter Cookies

1 cup butter
2 cups flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
(You can add an optional splash of vanilla extract too)

Beat butter. Add remaining ingredients and mix until incorporated. Roll and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-12 minutes.

Frost with royal icing or a simple milk and powdered sugar glaze.
